Maelee Day!

We are headed home! TODAY!

Praise Jesus!

Psalm 136:1-3

Thank God! He deserves your thanks.

His love never quits

Maelee has been eating consistently and passed a few more milestones over the past week. We are headed home and more than ready to have her in our arms. A new adventure starts today but her miracle story continues every single day!

We are thankful for all of you who prayed for Maelee and our family. To the friends and family that reached out randomly here and there, we are grateful for you!

Psalms 103:17 MSG

God’s love, though, is ever and always,

eternally present to all who fear him,

Making everything right for them and their children.

We can't say enough about the nurses in the NICU at The Children's Hospital at Saint Francis. We've formed relationships and bonds that Maelee will know her entire life. We will be frequent visitors to the floor to help motivate and inspire the doctors and nurses. We are very thankful to all the doctors that took care of Maelee. I don't think we had fewer than ten doctors that provided care and advice.

Psalm 34:17-18

The righteous cry, and the Lord hears

And delivers them out of all their troubles.

The Lord is near to the brokenhearted

And saves those who are crushed in spirit.

Many are the afflictions of the righteous,

But the Lord delivers him out of them all.

Just as a note: Yes, we want all of you to meet Maelee. Remember that Maelee was a micro-preemie plus she also had intestinal issues. Her immune system is not in great shape to withstand the Winter season, especially around a lot of people. We aren't normally germaphobes but we've been cautioned by several doctors and nurses to stay in isolation for a little while. Winter and RSV are real and we need to protect our small one! Be patient with us! We promise you'll get to meet her.

2 Corinthians 12:9-10

And He has said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness."Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me. Therefore I am well content with weaknesses, with insults, with distresses, with persecutions, with difficulties, for Christ's sake; for when I am weak, then I am strong.
